Vestments for deacons for the whole liturgical year
Roman dalmatics are made of fabrics in liturgical colours. In ARS Sacra, you will find green, red, purple, white and black vestments. We also have many gold vestments that can be worn in Church on particularly solemn days.
Roman dalmatics are characterised by the rich ornamentation, usually gold, that adorns both the front and back of the vestment. They are accompanied by a stole of a similar colour. It is also possible to purchase a complete set of four vestments in the Roman style or a blue vestment worn during Marian feasts. We offer vestments for different periods of the liturgical year: Christmas, Lent, Easter Triduum, as well as for weekdays.
Roman dalmatics made of velvet and silk
The ARS Sacra store offers dalmatics for deacons that are made of high-grade fabrics: damask, velvet, wool, silk, and combinations of these fabrics. The vestments have a distinctive cut. Long, loose tunics with wide sleeves were secular garments many years ago, but over time they became liturgical vestments. The Roman-style dalmatic is worn over the alb and with the stole.
