Acolyte cassocks
( number of products: 5 )Acolyte cassocks are traditional liturgical garments worn by acolytes and altar servers during Christian liturgies. Acolyte cassocks are worn during regular Sunday Services, liturgical events and processions. Their roots can be traced to the early Church. Today, their appearance reflects the dignity and reverence of the acolyte's role in serving during the ceremony.
Our altar servers’ cassocks come in classic liturgical colours: black, red and purple to match the priests’ chasubles. They are simple, without adornments, made from easy-care, non-creasing polyester with an admixture of stretch and wool. For the user’s comfort, they feature zips, high collars and long sleeves. The robe is long to the ground.
Sizing and Fits of Acolyte Cassocks
Outfitting a group of altar servers is a challenge. That is why we offer cassocks for acolytes in a full range of child and adult sizes (from 4’5’’ to 6’4’’). Moreover, the garments feature generous hems that allow for adjustment as young servers grow for better value. Complete your altar servers' attire with matching surplices, cinctures, or collars. Traditionally, parishes layer a white surplice over the cassock for a traditional look.
Proper Care of Altar Servers’ Cassocks
Our acolyte cassocks are easy-to-care, easy-to-iron and machine-washable. To clean, use a gentle cycle (40 degrees C.) and hang to dry. For minor issues—loose buttons or small tears—we suggest keeping a simple repair kit in your sacristy.
