Roman Chasuble

The Roman chasuble represents one of the most recognizable forms of traditional liturgical vestments. Distinguished by its narrow shape and rich ornamentation, it features pillar orphreys on the back and a large cross on the front.

While it is used less frequently than the gothic type, the Roman chasuble remains strongly associated with solemn celebrations and the Traditionalist Catholic movement, which emphasizes continuity with pre–Second Vatican Council liturgical forms.
